Races 5 and 6 of the 2007 Pursuit Racing finally took place at Ladies Bay after several weeks of unsuitable weather. It was a high tide in wind 2/3 with a heavy swell.
In the first race Jo Robinson [4] took an early lead with Denis White [4] in close pursuit. The gap was small but Robinson just had the edge and managed to win the two lap race just in front of White. Bob Perkins [5] came a close third.
In the second race Chris Hill [2] was able to keep the lead right up to the last lap but was overtaken by Denis White [5] as he was able to sail closer to the wind thereby steadily pulling out a lead to finish in first place. Chris Hill managed to take 2 nd position and Jo Robinson did extremely well to finish 3 rd after taking a dive on the first lap on account of Denis White taking the wind away from her.
